Pending. The promise is to make Goa the leading seafood exporter in the country by supporting fishing activity. Latest official PIB/MPEDA state-wise marine-products export data for 2024-25 shows Andhra Pradesh as the leading exporter with Rs 21,246 crore in export value and 3,66,182 tons in quantity, while Goa recorded Rs 788.81 crore and 45,469 tons. Goa is around 9th among listed states by both value and quantity. The gap with Andhra Pradesh is about Rs 20,457.19 crore by value and 3,20,713 tons by quantity; Goa is only about 3.7% of Andhra Pradesh by export value and about 12.4% by export quantity. Goa's own export value declined from Rs 1,007.6 crore in 2022-23 to Rs 788.81 crore in 2024-25, and quantity declined from 63,333 tons to 45,469 tons. Directorate of Fisheries sources confirm ongoing fisheries-support schemes, but current official export data does not show Goa moving close to national leadership. Status pending.
