“We will establish drive-in Krishi Markets in Panaji, Mormugao, Mapusa, Ponda and Margao with a facility to provide greater access to fresh pro-duce.”
On track, but not fulfilled. The promise requires accessible fresh-produce markets in Panaji, Mormugao, Mapusa, Ponda and Margao. The notified Goa State Amritkal Agriculture Policy 2025 provides for retail markets enabling direct sale of produce, agri-marketplaces in urban areas, weekly and evening markets, market hubs, farmer retail outlets and prime municipal-market locations for local farmers. These measures substantively advance the promised market-access model. However, no approved source found confirms a drive-in Krishi Market completed or operational in any of the five named cities, or equivalent facilities covering all five locations. Status on_track.
The notified agriculture policy provided for direct-sale retail markets, urban agri-marketplaces, weekly markets, market hubs and farmer retail outlets.
