Pending. The commitment requires a grant of Rs 10 lakh to each eligible author publishing a book in a local language. The Directorate of Official Language operates a publication scheme for selected unpublished Konkani and Marathi manuscripts, but the maximum honorarium under that scheme is Rs 1 lakh. The Directorate of Art and Culture separately assists Goan authors and publishers by purchasing up to 300 copies of a published book, subject to a total ceiling of Rs 50,000. During 2024-25, 46 publishers received support under this purchase scheme. Neither arrangement provides the promised Rs 10 lakh authorship grant, and no approved notification or disbursement record for such a grant was found. Existing assistance at one-tenth or less of the promised amount is not treated as implementation of the new grant. Status pending.
