A total of 5 lakh cameras will be installed with a centralized monitoring system accessible to local police stations and RWAs, making Delhi one of the most surveilled and safe cities in the world.”
AAP claimed 2.75 lakh cameras installed in its previous term, but independent audits found many non-functional. The 5 lakh target and maintenance of existing cameras remain contentious claims.
