Our Assessment

The South Coast Railway (SCoR) zone, headquartered at Visakhapatnam with four divisions (Guntakal, Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam), was operationalised on 1 June 2026 per the gazette notification. This is primarily a central (Railway Ministry) action long sought by the state. An approved/government citation for the operationalisation is to be attached.
