Our Assessment

On track. The government is actively positioning Visakhapatnam as a financial/technology hub - the Chief Minister has publicly committed to developing it as a fintech hub, and the state is courting major IT/AI investment (a Google AI hub, a proposed Quantum Valley, and engagement with firms such as Capgemini). The full "financial capital" designation remains aspirational and in progress.
