Our Assessment
The promise was a named Devendra Shastri Credit Guarantee Trust for homestays and hotels at the 45 locations. I did not find approved-source evidence of this trust being constituted. However, Tourism Policy 2023 provides capital subsidy, tourism product subsidy, marketing incentives and interest subvention for tourism units, which partly meets the financial-support intent for hotels/tourism businesses.
