Help us verifyWhat does this status mean?
The stated commitment has been substantively delivered, supported by evidence.
Status describes delivery. Confidence describes how strong the available evidence is.
Original manifesto wording
“We've decided to start an Aspirational Block Programme - on the lines of the Aspirational Districts Programme of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi Ji.”
Our Assessment
The Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 7 Jan 2023, covering 500 blocks across 27 states and UTs, with Manipur blocks included on the official NITI Aayog list. The programme that the manifesto committed to therefore exists and operates in Manipur. Marked fulfilled at the level of the programme being started. Confidence is medium rather than high because ABP is a centrally-run NITI Aayog programme, the state did not create a separate scheme, and effective on-ground implementation in Manipur during the conflict years could not be independently verified.
