Original manifesto wording
“Under Har Ghar Lakshmi, provide Rs 1,500 per month to women of Himachal Pradesh.”
Our Assessment
Reviewed 29 September 2026. The existing Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi programme provides Rs 1,500 to eligible women through a phased, restricted rollout. On 29 August, Indian Express reported a further announcement: Apna Parivar Sukhi Parivar Yojana was scheduled to launch on 2 October for families outside the welfare net, with Rs 1,500 for eligible women and 300 units of electricity. Its proposed launch is after this review date and is not counted as delivered. Retained as partial: existing targeted support is evidenced, while universal coverage under the original women's allowance promise remains unverified.
