Original manifesto wording
“With the aim of completely eliminating multidimensional poverty in the state over the next five years, we will deliver social welfare benefits to the poor in a timely manner and through Direct Benefit Transfers. We will increase the old age pension under DSSY to Rs 3000/- per month.”
Our Assessment
Reviewed 29 September 2026. The existing official evidence lists the general DSSS old-age benefit at Rs 2,000 a month. On 10 September, Times of India reported the Chief Minister saying DSSS and Griha Aadhar amounts would be increased soon. That statement is an intention to raise benefits, not evidence of a Rs 3,000 old-age pension notification or payment. Retained as pending for the specific Rs 3,000 commitment. No verified increase to the promised amount was established in this review.
