Our Assessment

Irrigation received significant capital outlay in the 2025-26 budget - about Rs 11,314 crore for ongoing projects (HNSS, Uttara Andhra Sujala Sravanthi, Godavari/Krishna deltas) plus about Rs 6,705 crore for the Polavaram project - supporting the commitment to fast-track irrigation works.
