“We will regularize slums across Uttarakhand.”
Uttarakhand has a 2016 slum reform/regularisation/rehabilitation law applicable to urban local bodies, and later protection measures were discussed, but I did not verify actual regularisation of slums across the state after 2022. A legal framework or demolition protection is not the same as across-state regularisation, so this remains only partial. Budget: No statewide slum-regularisation/resettlement allocation isolated.
To reduce the further unorganized expansion of urban areas of the state, efficient dense housing will be encouraged through the changes to Floor Space Index (FSI) and zoning norms.
Affordable Rental Housing Complexes (ARHCs) will be facilitated under PMAY - Urban to ensure that urban poor have access to affordable quality housing.
To make rents in urban areas of Uttarakhand affordable, the Affordable Rental Housing Complexes initiative of the central government will be implemented.
