The promise was 20 scenic locations upgraded into eco-tourism hotspots through an Eco-tourism Promotion Board. The Tourism Policy 2023 explicitly identifies eco-rural tourism as a focus segment and describes promotion through UTDB and the Forest Department, so the objective is partly represented in policy. But I did not verify a post-2022 Eco-tourism Promotion Board delivering 20 transformed hotspots. Budget status: related tourism incentives exist, but no approved-source allocation for the 20-hotspot board mechanism found.
