Our Assessment

The Higher Education Department lists a financial assistance scheme for meritorious students preparing for mains examinations of competitive exams including UPSC/State PSC. The government order provides ₹50,000 after clearing preliminary examinations, not ₹1,00,000. Intent partially met: there is financial assistance for prelims-qualified candidates, but the amount is half the manifesto promise and the scheme predates the 2022 manifesto.
