“We will provide interest free education loan upto ₹5 Lakh for coaching for competitive examinations like NDA, CAT, AIEEE, JEE, NEET, CLAT, State PCS and UPSC to the wards of soldiers martyred in the line of duty.”
The promise was an interest-free education loan up to Rs 5 lakh for competitive-exam coaching for wards of soldiers martyred in the line of duty. I found no approved-source evidence of such a state interest-free loan scheme. However, related coaching support exists: the KSB Guidebook 2025 lists a Rs 20,000 one-time grant for UPSC, PCS and UKSSSC coaching for ESM, and small coaching support for dependents of martyrs and war-disabled soldiers; the Uttarakhand Soldier Welfare site also surfaced a 2025 Super-100 free IIT JEE and NEET residential coaching notice with special preference for army kids. This partially serves the coaching-support objective, but not the loan quantum, beneficiary class, or full exam basket promised. Budget status: no loan corpus or interest-subvention allocation found.

View sourceWe will increase the special scholarship amount for the wards of ex-servicemen as follows: Intermediate from ₹12,000 p.a to ₹60,000 p.a for 80% and above marks in High School; Graduation from ₹15,000 p.a to ₹75,000 p.a for 80% and above marks in Intermediate; and PG from ₹18,000 p.a to ₹90,000 p.a for 70% and above marks in UG final year.
We will augment the scholarship for the wards of ex-servicemen to cover the school fees and stationery expenses: General education I-VIII from ₹3,000 p.a to ₹5,000 p.a; IX-XII from ₹6,000 p.a to ₹10,000 p.a; U.G. from ₹4,000 p.a to ₹20,000 p.a; P.G. from ₹4,000 p.a to ₹20,000 p.a; and Research and M.Phil from ₹10,000 p.a to ₹50,000 p.a.
We will provide a job-kit with a one time financial grant of ₹50,000 to ex-servicemen at the time of their retirement from the Armed Forces.
