Of the eight named universities, several are operational or established — Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University (Aligarh), Maharaja Suheldev University (Azamgarh), Maa Shakumbhari University (Saharanpur) and Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University (Gorakhpur) — while others, including the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University (Meerut), Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University (Prayagraj) and the Lucknow forensic-science institute, are under construction or at earlier stages. Construction with full world-class facilities is not complete across all eight. Marked partial.
