Our Assessment
The declaration promised the reopening of all closed sugar factories in the state, of which the Nizam Sugar Factory (non-operational since 2015) is the most prominent. Government ministers have reiterated a commitment to revive the Nizam Sugar Factory, but no approved-source evidence was found that any closed sugar factory has actually been reopened and made operational as of July 2026.
