Judicial inquiry into alleged BRS-era scandals, with legal action to follow

The manifesto promised a full-fledged inquiry by a retired High Court judge into scandal and corruption allegations concerning the previous BRS/TRS government, with legal action based on it. The inquiry component was delivered in substance: a Commission of Inquiry headed by Justice P.C. The legal-action component is currently blocked: on 22 April 2026 the Telangana High Court upheld the constitution of the Commission but declared its findings adverse to the petitioners inoperative for violation of natural-justice safeguards under Section 8B of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952, directing that no action be taken on their basis. All references to wrongdoing are allegations and commission findings under legal challenge; no court has established guilt against any individual.
