Our Assessment
The declaration promised the integration of agricultural work with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act scheme, which would allow farm labour to be performed and paid under the rural employment guarantee. No approved-source evidence was found that the state has implemented such an integration, which would in any case require central concurrence given MGNREGA is a centrally governed programme.
