The manifesto promised extension of PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for five years and, in Madhya Pradesh, free ration plus pulses, mustard oil and sugar at concessional rates for poor families. The central PMGKAY free-foodgrain component is clearly delivered: PIB records that free foodgrains under PMGKAY were extended for five years from 1 January 2024, and that 80.67 crore persons were receiving free foodgrains against intended coverage of 81.35 crore. However, no approved-source evidence was found that Madhya Pradesh implemented the additional pulses, mustard oil and sugar concession component promised in the state manifesto. The central free-foodgrain part is therefore credited, but the added ration-basket promise remains unverified. The verdict is partial rather than fulfilled. Budget: PIB records the approved PMGKAY framework and major foodgrain subsidy support, but no MP-specific allocation or utilisation for pulses, mustard oil and sugar was found.
