Metro expansion in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur

The manifesto promised completion of Bhopal and Indore metro lines and planning for metro lines in Gwalior and Jabalpur. The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is active for Bhopal and Indore, and Times of India reported Indore Metro commercial operations beginning on its priority corridor in 2025. However, Bhopal Metro was reported as delayed, with its priority section at 81.26 percent completion and approvals pending at that point. I found no approved-source evidence of completed Bhopal and Indore full lines or formal metro-line plans for both Gwalior and Jabalpur. The verdict is partial because Indore’s priority section and active Bhopal construction show meaningful delivery, but the full four-city promise is incomplete. Budget: central and state metro funding exists, but full utilisation for completed lines and Gwalior-Jabalpur planning was not found.
