Urban water security is being pursued through AMRUT 2.0 (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation), which targets universal water-tap and sewerage coverage, water-body rejuvenation, reuse of treated wastewater and reduction of non-revenue water, alongside aquifer recharge and bulk-consumer metering measures. Implementation is progressing across cities but full water security is not yet achieved. Partial.
We will create big convention centres across cities and make Bharat into a global destination for conferences and exhibitions.
We will continue eliminating open landfills to manage all kinds of waste being produced in Bharat through ‘Waste to Wealth Mission’.
We will develop more green spaces like parks, playgrounds etc., reviving water bodies and developing natural spaces to make cities more adaptable, sustainable and people-friendly.
