New planned urban nodes and townships are being encouraged through the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (greenfield industrial smart cities), transit-oriented and mixed-use development norms, and budget proposals to develop cities as growth hubs and a framework for "Cities as Growth Hubs" with economic and transit planning. However, a distinct, named programme specifically for satellite townships near metro cities, with measurable outcomes, is only thinly evidenced. Partial, low confidence.
We will create big convention centres across cities and make Bharat into a global destination for conferences and exhibitions.
We will continue eliminating open landfills to manage all kinds of waste being produced in Bharat through ‘Waste to Wealth Mission’.
We will develop more green spaces like parks, playgrounds etc., reviving water bodies and developing natural spaces to make cities more adaptable, sustainable and people-friendly.
