Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections continue to expand through the City Gas Distribution (CGD) programme, which now covers the overwhelming majority of districts/population following successive bidding rounds, with domestic PNG connections rising well beyond the cited 1.1 crore (to around 1.5 crore or more) and CNG stations expanding alongside. Coverage is being extended to more cities and towns, in line with the goal of raising the share of natural gas in the energy mix. The expansion pledge is in active delivery, with full coverage of all towns still in progress. Partial.
We will create big convention centres across cities and make Bharat into a global destination for conferences and exhibitions.
We will continue eliminating open landfills to manage all kinds of waste being produced in Bharat through ‘Waste to Wealth Mission’.
We will develop more green spaces like parks, playgrounds etc., reviving water bodies and developing natural spaces to make cities more adaptable, sustainable and people-friendly.
