Following the liberalisation of geospatial data (2021 Guidelines) and the National Geospatial Policy 2022, India is building geospatial data infrastructure - the National Geospatial Data Registry/portal and data-sharing platforms to make geospatial data accessible to industry and startups. Components are being rolled out, but a fully operational national geospatial data registry and exchange as pledged is still developing. Partial.
We will launch a National Atmospheric Mission to be called Mausam to make Bharat “weather ready” and “climate smart”.
We will establish science parks in various cities, to ensure that the spirit of scientific inquiry is within reach of Bharat’s youth.
We will operationalise the National Quantum Mission to position Bharat as a global leader in quantum technology.
