The National Green Hydrogen Mission (outlay about Rs 19,744 crore) targets at least 5 million tonnes per annum of green hydrogen production capacity by 2030, with incentives for electrolyser manufacturing and green-hydrogen production (SIGHT scheme), pilot projects in steel, mobility and shipping, and green-hydrogen hubs. Capacity allocation and manufacturing incentives have been awarded, but large-scale production is still in the early build-out phase. Partial (strong action).
We will set up a Centre of Excellence for clean energy technologies and position the country as Global Manufacturing Hub for Wind, Solar and Green Hydrogen and scale up Bio-Energy Manufacturing facilities from all sorts of waste.
We will establish nationwide smart grids integrated with advanced technology, including smart meters and control centres, for efficient and intelligent energy management.
We will incentivise private sector investment in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) infrastructure for fostering renewable energy integration, grid stability and resilience, ensuring a sustainable and reliable energy future for all.
