The Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor model is being replicated at multiple pilgrimage sites, including Mahakal Lok (Ujjain), Somnath, Kedarnath, the Vindhyavasini corridor (Mirzapur) and others, supported by the PRASHAD scheme (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive) and Swadesh Darshan. New corridor-style projects continue to be taken up, so the pledge is in active, ongoing delivery. Partial (strong action).
We will promote select destinations across Bharat as preferred venues to showcase the richness of Bharatiya weddings, highlighting the vibrant traditions, and supporting cultural exchanges.
We will develop thematic circuits for promoting cultural experience: border villages, sustainable ecotourism in under-explored regions, riverine tourism along major river ecosystems, island tourism hubs in Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar, and adventure tourism in the North East and other hill states.
We have launched a Swadesh Darshan programme for comprehensive development of tourist destinations. We will work with state governments to implement and further strengthen this programme. We will include destinations and circuits covering the life and travels of important saints and philosophers.
