Manuscript preservation is being scaled through the Gyan Bharatam Mission, announced in the 2025-26 Budget to survey, document and conserve more than one crore manuscripts (building on the National Mission for Manuscripts), with digitisation in mission mode and collaboration with academic and private institutions. A dedicated scholarship/research programme for ancient manuscripts and epigraphs is being developed. Implementation is under way but at an early stage relative to the scale pledged. Partial.

We will develop thematic circuits for promoting cultural experience: border villages, sustainable ecotourism in under-explored regions, riverine tourism along major river ecosystems, island tourism hubs in Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar, and adventure tourism in the North East and other hill states.
We have launched a Swadesh Darshan programme for comprehensive development of tourist destinations. We will work with state governments to implement and further strengthen this programme. We will include destinations and circuits covering the life and travels of important saints and philosophers.
