The Archaeological Survey of India continues conservation and restoration of centrally protected monuments, supported by the Adopt a Heritage 2.0 programme (enabling corporates and individuals to develop visitor amenities at monuments) and budgetary allocations for monument upkeep. This is ongoing, routine-plus-enhanced activity rather than a single completable deliverable. Partial.
We will promote select destinations across Bharat as preferred venues to showcase the richness of Bharatiya weddings, highlighting the vibrant traditions, and supporting cultural exchanges.
We will develop thematic circuits for promoting cultural experience: border villages, sustainable ecotourism in under-explored regions, riverine tourism along major river ecosystems, island tourism hubs in Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar, and adventure tourism in the North East and other hill states.
We have launched a Swadesh Darshan programme for comprehensive development of tourist destinations. We will work with state governments to implement and further strengthen this programme. We will include destinations and circuits covering the life and travels of important saints and philosophers.
