Gruha Lakshmi: Rs 2,000 per month to the woman head of household

Fulfilled. Launched 30 August 2023; transfers Rs 2,000 per month to the woman recorded as head of household on the family ration card, via DBT. Operational with roughly 1.23-1.28 crore beneficiaries; the government reported cumulative disbursal of about Rs 49,080 crore in a written reply in the Assembly, rising to over Rs 50,005 crore in later reporting. Delivery has not been flawless - two monthly installments were missed in 2024-25 and payments have at times been delayed, and about 2.13 lakh enrolments of income-tax or GST-paying families were removed as ineligible. The core entitlement is being delivered. Figures are government-stated.
