Promise of a Pashu Bhagya scheme giving zero-interest loans up to Rs 3 lakh to dairy farmers to purchase superior cattle/buffalo breeds. Pashu Bhagya is a pre-2023 scheme: per the Department of Animal Husbandry, it provides zero-interest short-term loans only up to Rs 50,000 (for feed and maintenance) plus back-ended subsidies on loans up to Rs 1.20 lakh - well short of the promised Rs 3 lakh zero-interest. No enhancement to a Rs 3 lakh zero-interest limit is confirmed. Status pending.
