Help us verify“Concessional-rate electricity will be made available to industries.”
The new government commitment to concessional power for industry remains largely at the assurance stage. The Chief Minister has repeatedly stated the government will provide industries uninterrupted, lowest-rate power and that subsidised power will form part of an amended industrial policy, but that policy had not been introduced as of early 2026. The existing electricity-duty exemptions for thrust-sector fruit, vegetable and maize units predate this government and are sector-limited. As no new concessional-power scheme has been delivered, this is recorded as pending. Budget: no new concessional-power allocation identified; existing electricity-duty exemptions continue under the 2019 policy.
CM says amended industrial policy will include subsidised power to attract investment.
