Our Assessment

No verified raising order, completed commando training cohort or operational deployment of a Gujarat Police all-women commando force was found. The well-documented Veerangana force belongs to Assam Police and predates this promise; similarly named units elsewhere are not Gujarat delivery. Women's She Teams and general female police recruitment perform related safety work but are not automatically an equivalent specialist commando force.

The reasoning behind the verdict

Why this assessment?

Reviewed

01 · Delivery status

Why pending?

A matching operational Gujarat Police all-women commando unit has not been verified.

02 · Strength of evidence

Why low confidence?

Public evidence is incomplete; the rating describes what could be verified, not proof that no activity occurred.

What would help us reassess?

The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.

  • State raising order and unit staffing
  • Specialist commando training and operational deployment records

Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
