Our Assessment

The review did not find authenticated raising orders, staffing or operational records for the three promised Gujarat Police all-women battalions, including equivalent units under different names. BPR&D's January 2023 inventory is an early reference, not proof of the position in 2026. The CRPF Mahila battalion headquartered in Gandhinagar is a central-force unit predating the promise and is not counted as a Gujarat Police battalion. Missing public confirmation does not establish cancellation.

The reasoning behind the verdict

Why this assessment?

Reviewed

01 · Delivery status

Why pending?

Creation and operation of three matching state-police battalions remain unverified.

02 · Strength of evidence

Why low confidence?

Public evidence is incomplete; the rating describes what could be verified, not proof that no activity occurred.

What would help us reassess?

The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.

  • Gujarat Police battalion raising orders and sanctioned posts
  • Actual staffing, training and deployment for all three units

Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
