Our Assessment

No verified Gujarat application route and paid-award list matching scholarships for students pursuing higher education in sports was found. UGC support for national medallists and international participants is relevant background, but athlete status is a different eligibility basis from studying a sports degree at a recognised institution. Athlete training grants and private university fee concessions do not by themselves establish this state programme.

The reasoning behind the verdict

Why this assessment?

Reviewed

01 · Delivery status

Why pending?

A matching sports-degree scholarship and its paid awards remain unverified.

02 · Strength of evidence

Why low confidence?

The manifesto is clear, but matching implementation and recipient-level evidence remain limited. This is an evidence gap, not proof of inactivity.

What would help us reassess?

The documents that could clarify delivery of this commitment.

  • State scholarship guidelines and recognised sports-institution list
  • Recipient counts, approved budget and actual payments

Status describes delivery. Confidence describes the evidence.
