The Governor's 16 February 2026 address explicitly reports Ganga Swarupa payments of ₹1,250 a month to about 17 lakh women. This verifies substantial operation of the existing scheme, but not the promised increase to ₹2,000. The review found no later authenticated revision or payment record at ₹2,000.
