The 2024 Governor's Address records related taxi-sector support through the Goencho Taxi Patrao Scheme, under which the government intended to distribute 1000 taxis to local youth and 120 persons had been distributed taxis till December 2023. However, no approved Goa government notification, Gazette, budget allocation, board order or reliable implementation source was found confirming establishment of a Goa Taxi Drivers Welfare Board with a Rs 20 crore corpus.
