NITI Aayog's State Nutrition Profile for Goa, based on NFHS-5, estimated 27,879 stunted children, 20,736 wasted children and 25,203 underweight children under five in Goa, with both districts still classified as public-health-concern districts for child undernutrition indicators. The Goa Budget 2026-27 includes allocations for Anganwadi Services, Poshan Abhiyan, nutrition and the Special Nutrition Programme, so budget support is confirmed. However, no approved post-2022 source confirms that stunting and malnutrition among children have been eliminated. Status pending.
