Any equivalent state-supported arrangement that doubled health-insurance cover for substantially the same beneficiary population would count. The earlier DDSSY scheme provided cover of up to Rs 2.50 lakh annually for a family of three or fewer members and Rs 4 lakh for a family of four or more. The current official DDSSY page continues to publish the same coverage limits. Although the government subsequently budgeted for revamping and continuing DDSSY, no approved source found confirms that the insurance cover has been doubled, whether under DDSSY or an equivalent scheme.
