Introduce Caravan Tourism in Goa

On track, but not fulfilled. Goa notified a Caravan Tourism Policy on November 9, 2023. The policy prescribes caravan specifications, hygiene, safety and environmental requirements, registration and inspection procedures and development requirements for caravan parks. It also provides graduated capital-investment, road-tax and registration-fee incentives for the first 50 caravan operators. This establishes a detailed operational framework and incentive mechanism for introducing caravan tourism. However, no approved source confirms an operational GTDC caravan fleet, a completed caravan park, traveller bookings or commercial caravan tours facilitated through GTDC.
