Bharatiya Janata Party · Delhi Legislative Assembly Election 2025

Last updated 6 Jun 2026

We will form an SIT in the first session of the Delhi Assembly to hold AAP-DA accountable for pollution, covering the failure to clean the Yamuna despite spending thousands of crores and the failure to reduce air pollution in Delhi.

Our Assessment

low

Mixed. Pollution and the Yamuna are under active government action — a CAG performance audit on vehicular air pollution was among the reports tabled in the first session, the Assembly held a special discussion on environment and pollution (winter session, January 2026), an Air Pollution Mitigation Plan was launched in 2025, and Yamuna rejuvenation is being pursued (NGT High-Level Committee, a Union Home Minister-chaired Haryana–Delhi–UP review). But there is no confirmation that a dedicated "pollution SIT" to hold the previous government accountable was formally constituted in the first session, as worded. Marked partial.
