Under the BJP government, RO drinking-water ATMs have been inaugurated in unauthorised colonies and jhuggi areas, and the 2025-26 budget earmarked ₹9,000 crore for the water sector including drinking-water access. A comprehensive water-ATM rollout across all JJ clusters has not been confirmed as complete as of the research date. Marked partial. We will increase Delhi’s water treatment capacity to 1,500 MGD and establish additional reservoirs to enhance water storage and pumping capacity.
We will enter into agreements with Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to bring additional water from Ganga to meet Delhi’s increasing water demand.
We are committed to provide ‘har ghar nal se jal’ under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
