“The BJP will provide free high-speed WiFi connectivity across all of Delhi — in markets, bus stops, metro stations, parks, and residential colonies. Every Delhiite will have access to 15 GB of free data per month through a city-wide mesh WiFi network to bridge the digital divide.”
While BJP is in opposition in Delhi, some WiFi hotspots were activated during the previous BJP-backed MCD administration at select locations. Coverage remains minimal — under 5% of the city. The promise is classified as partial due to limited pre-existing hotspots.
