The Uttarakhand Forest Fire & Disaster Management system uses FSI-based fire alerts, dedicated reporting, master control rooms, crew stations and watch towers; later reporting also records an integrated command/control room and mobile app, but forest-fire incidents and alerts continue at scale. Early-detection and response infrastructure is real, but the promise’s prevention objective is not fully achieved, especially for man-made fires. Budget: Indian Express reported ₹39 crore allocated from central, state and CAMPA sources for tackling forest fires in FY 2024-25, with ₹35 crore utilised; no separate promise-branded allocation isolated.
