“The BJP Government will focus on leveraging the Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor and other major infrastructure projects across Uttarakhand to transform the state into a major manufacturing hub.”
The promise was to use the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor and other infrastructure to make Uttarakhand a major manufacturing hub. PIB reported the 213 km Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor and related Dehradun bypass work, including connectivity benefits for Selaqui industrial area. TOI also reported Uttarakhand MSMEs scaling to about 79,000 units, Rs 17,000 crore investment and around 4 lakh jobs across manufacturing-linked sectors. This is credible progress, but not fulfilled because a major manufacturing-hub end state is not independently verified. Budget status: major corridor infrastructure has verified central project funding; manufacturing-hub delivery remains policy/investment-linked.
