Create a Rs 2,000 crore tourism skill fund and train five lakh youth

The manifesto promised a Rs 2,000 crore tourism skill fund to train five lakh young people and connect them with employment or self-employment. The government announced the Mukhyamantri Tourism Skill Development Programme with a target of 20,000 youth and folk artists over two years, and the 2025-26 Output-Outcome Budget provided Rs 7.50 crore for training 5,000 people through 15 institutes. These targets match the tourism, guiding, hospitality and traditional-arts skill objective, but they are only 1 per cent of the manifesto beneficiary target and no approved source was found confirming completed training or employment under the named programme. The current outcome documents report limited training through existing Food Craft Institutes but do not establish the promised fund or delivery at comparable scale. The promise therefore remains pending rather than partial because verified beneficiary delivery under the mapped programme is absent.
