Develop a festival circuit and organise major Rajasthani festivals

The manifesto promised a festival circuit and grand organisation of major Rajasthani festivals. The 2026-27 Output-Outcome Budget records that the Tourism Department organised 90 fairs, festivals and other cultural programmes during 2024-25, along with 38 marts, events and seminars. The same document provides Rs 120 crore for tourism information and publicity in 2026-27 and targets 70 fairs, festivals and cultural programmes. This is meaningful delivery of the festival-organisation objective during the present government’s term. However, no approved policy, route, integrated itinerary or formally notified Festival Circuit was found, so the promised circuit mechanism is only partly delivered. Budget: The current outcome budget provides Rs 120 crore for the broader events and tourism-promotion head, but circuit-specific expenditure or utilisation was not separately reported.
