Our Assessment
Reviewed 29 September 2026. A 25 July report carried the Chief Minister's announced total of 1,090 Aam Aadmi Clinics after an expansion of 100. The same report states that 71 new clinics were inaugurated and 29 were scheduled to open by 31 July, so 1,090 is treated as the announced rollout total, not an independently verified count operating on 25 July. The government-reported 5.90 crore OPD consultations include repeat visits and must not be described as unique patients. Retained as partial: even the announced total is far below the stored promise of 16,000 clinics. This review does not independently confirm completion of the remaining July openings or uninterrupted medicine and test availability. Historical assessment (2026-06-07, recorded status: partial; retained verbatim and may be superseded by the latest review): Aam Aadmi Clinics were rolled out from August 2022 onward, offering free consultations, medicines and diagnostic tests. The Health Minister reported 664 clinics operational to the Vidhan Sabha in November 2023, expanding to around 880 by early 2026 — well short of the 16,000 figure cited during the campaign. The network has treated several crore patients.
