mediumThe government launched the "Yudh Nashian Virudh" (War Against Drugs) campaign in March 2025 with daily raids across all districts, a public WhatsApp helpline, and tens of thousands of arrests reported over its first year. Enforcement has been sustained, but the stated goal of a drug-free Punjab has not been achieved and drug abuse remains a serious problem.
