Restore check dams, ponds and irrigation sources

The manifesto promised an expert committee and Rs 1,500 crore investment to revive check dams, ponds and other irrigation sources in water-stressed areas. The same report says around Rs 1,500 crore had been paid as wages in FY 2025-26 under MGNREGA activity, which is relevant but not identical to the promised dedicated investment package. No approved-source evidence was found for the expert committee or a dedicated Rs 1,500 crore restoration scheme under this manifesto promise. The verdict is partial because real restoration-related work is evidenced, but the promised mechanism and dedicated package are not fully verified.
